This course is designed for those with a first professional qualification in records management working in an environment where the management of a library, as well as records management, is involved. It offers an overview of the basic technological, information retrieval and collection management issues in librarianship.
An undergraduate degree or graduate diploma qualification in records management or archives.
Regular and reliable Internet access is required.
Applications for recognition of prior learning are assessed on an individual basis.
This fee-paying course is one semester full-time or equivalent part-time study. External study is also available.
This course does not confer eligibility for professional membership of relevant professional bodies.
Students may be expected to purchase a number of textbooks, readers and other essential study materials.
