Syllabus: |
Review AC/DC analysis. DC power supplies - transformers. Rectification, filters, regulation. FET and FET amplifiers. Bipolar transistors. Op amps and applications. Comparators. Transducers and systems - pulse shaping. Integration, differentiation, clipping, squaring, trigger and vibrator circuits. Transducers - photocells, photo-voltaic, photodiodes, PIN, avalanche, CCDs, circuitry. Temperature measurement, thermo couples, temperature-dependent resistors - amplifier requirements. Strain gauges- uses, construction, bridges, gauge factors, load cells. Piezo-electric, pyro-electric transducers, ultrasonic applications. Accelerometers, frequency response, amplifier requirements. Differential transformers, capacitor transducers, salinity, humidity. |
