Introduction

This is a distance education online course providing the necessary knowledge and skills to practice competently as a perioperative nurse at the novice to expert level.

Course Entry Requirements/Prerequisites

A registered nurse working in the operating suite with an undergraduate degree. Other qualifications and significant work experience are considered in registration. Applicants must be currently registered in their own country and provide documentation tothat effect. Overseas applicants are required to have completed a tertiary nursing program of three years or more leading to registration.

Recognition of Prior Learning

Applications for recognition of prior learning are assessed on an individual basis.

Duration and Availability

This fee paying course is of two semesters part-time study. As some units are offered only once in each year, there is some limitation of choice. This course is not available to international onshore students on student visas.
