Syllabus: |
Understanding the nature, dynamics and outcomes of interpersonal violence (ie as a manifestation of power and control). Issues in theoretical conceptualisation. 'Helping' responses, eg identification, crisis counselling, victim advocacy, medium term counselling of female victims, male perpetrators and children, post traumatic stress disorder, role of alcohol and drugs. |
