It is expected that prospective students are graduates with qualifications in areas related to chemical engineering intending to work in the chemical processing industries. Chemical engineering graduates, especially those with honours, should consider enrolling in the Master of Engineering (Chemical Engineering) by research. Course Entry Requirements/PrerequisitesA recognised degree in engineering or applied science at honours level or a recognised degree in engineering or applied science without honours but with relevant experience. Such candidates will be accepted at the discretion of the Head of Department. Candidates with an appropriate pass degree can be accepted at the discretion of the Head of Department but are required to complete up to eight full units by full-time study (or part-time equivalent). Recognition of Prior LearningApplications for recognition of prior learning are assessed on an individual basis. Duration and AvailabilityThis fee paying course is one semester full-time or equivalent part-time study. Part-time students are required to complete the course within two calendar years of initial enrolment. Each student will be advised of their individual study plan which will be subject to the availability and sequencing of units within the program. Two intakes are offered each year, in March and August. Additional Course ExpensesStudents may be expected to purchase a number of textbooks, readers and other vital study materials.
