This double major is designed to provide students with both the theoretical and technical skills necessary to operate in the financial planning industry. It aims to graduate students who are technically competent, professional and well respected in the financial markets. This course provides a good foundation for students seeking employment in the financial planning arena. It also enables professionals currently employed in the field to further develop their skills. This course is accredited with the Financial Planning Association (FPA). Graduates are eligible for Associate Membership (AFPA) after the relevant work experience requirements are met. It also meets the educational requirements for entry into the Certified Planner (CFP) program. Graduates are also eligible for Associate Professional Membership of the Economic Society of Australia (WA Branch).
