Introduction
This double degree combines Asian studies and health promotion. Health promotion professionals work in government, community and international environments with emphasis on prevention of disease and the importance of staying healthy throughout one's lifeand creating healthy environments. Asian studies prepares graduates to work in Asia or with people of Asian background in Australia.

The course is four years full-time or equivalent part-time study.
Course Organisation
Students undertake the major in Asian Studies in combination with the major in Health Promotion. Students enrolled in the double degree program may elect to transfer to a single degree course in one of the two disciplines. In this event the relevant Headof Department shall determine the amount of credit to be transferred to the single degree.

For Health Promotion - Australian Health Promotion Association.
Career Opportunities
Graduates could work in health promotion in Australia or overseas, or as translators, facilitators and trainers in the health science area in Asia.
