SEMESTER ONE - History and basic principles, including cell structure , cell cycle, tissue culture media, mitogens and miotic arrestants, cell synchronisation, sister chromatid exchange, late replicating x chromosomes, fragility stressing, chromosome stains, mitosis and meiosis. SEMESTER TWO - Translocations and inversions, numerical and structural alterations, sex chromosome alterations, haematological conditions and cytogenics, haemological malignancies, microscopy and image capture, microscope analysis and ISCN, laboratory safety and quality control. |
