Archival principles are well formulated and form the basis of practice in this constantly evolving and (for Australia) relatively new environment. An introduction to these principles and an examination of how they are the basis of operational practice. Archives and their management, particularly in the Australian context is the focus. Archivists work in a constantly changing environment. Changes in legislation and in record keeping theory and technology in particular are having far-reaching consequences on what archivists do and how they do it. An introduction to archival principles which provide the basis for practice. |
