The opportunity to evolve and recognise the personal concerns which will become central to their practice as they progress through the course and move into careers as independent artists/designers. It presents experience in working at jewellery and precious object making, aligning conceptual development with the learning of numerous traditional skills and processes associated with jewellery and metal-smithing. Students are encouraged to be innovative with these skills and processes, expanding the traditional vocabulary and finding unique solutions to the problems posed by their creative ambitions. |
