Philosophy, ontology, and epistemology are used as foundations for discussing society. Business is included as a special case. Scientism, modernism, is contrasted with postmodernism. Implications for a model or theory of each approach will be discussed. The use of metaphors in thinking about the future is discussed. The PATOP concept, chaos, quantum and complexity theory and their use and application to organisations are covered. |
