Research methodology - formulation of problem, design of study, review of the literature, identification of variables, hypothesis, collection and processing of data, validity and reliability, statistics and data handling. Project planning techniques, including logical framework approach, goal oriented planning and constructive technology assessment. Technical report writing. Application of engineering tools for Cleaner Production and Eco - Effeciency including process flow sheeting, material and energy balances, PINCH technology. Application of quality management tools and techniques for Cleaner Production and Eco - Effeciency for environmental strategy development and for enhancing workers participation. Application of research methods and project planning techniques for the design of a sector specific Cleaner Production and Eco - Effeciency project. Students are to attend a 3 hour lecture once every three weeks. |
