Basic demographic concepts in the analysis of fertility, mortality, nuptiality and migration. The Australian population. Elementary descriptive statistical methods. Modules which will discuss particular topics with a primary emphasis on Australia for example, regional and urban planning and development, migration and multiculturalism, the Aboriginal population, and women in the workforce.
