Transducers and Systems - Pulse Shaping. Revision of integration, differentiation, clipping, squaring, Schimdt trigger. Multivibrator, '555' I.C. Transducers - Photocells, photo-voltaic, photodiodes, PIN, avalanche, CCDs, circuitry. Temperature measurement, thermo couples, temperature-dependent resistors- amplifier requirements. Strain gauges- uses, construction, bridges, gauge factors, load cells. Piezo-electric, pyro-electric transducers, ultrasonic applications. Geophones, frequency response, amplifier requirements. Differential transformers, capacitor transducers, salinity, humidity. |
