| Introduction to powere electronic concepts, overview of dc - dc converters. Buck, boost, buck-boost, Cuk converters. Isolated converters, flyback (isolated buck-boost), buck derived forward converter. Half-bridge and full-bridge dc-dc converters. Characteristics of power semiconductors (MOSFET, IGBT's). Gate drive circuits and device protection. Design / choice of high frequency magnetic components. Simulation of power electronic circuits. |
