Development of applied research skills enabling the planning and undertaking of effective culturally sensitive research in Aboriginal contexts in ways that maximise opportunities for local Indigenous participation and control, that are non-intrusive, and give priority to Indigenuos perspectives and benefit the Aboriginal people. An opportunity to practice and develop structured and unstructured interviews, focus groups, questionnaires, document analysis and observational data collection skills and techniques, and consider the strengths and weaknesses of each using data recording and analysis techniques. |
