Seed dormancy mechanisms and techniques for overcoming seed dormancy. Germination times of miscellaneous native species. Propagation from cuttings - general principles and techniques, anatomical and physiological aspects. Layering techniques. Propagation by separation and division of vegetative propagules. Plant tissue culture - facilities and equipment, practical considerations, general principles of micro-propagation, systematic culture medium. Plant tissue culture, embryo culture, another culture in vitro cell selection, somaclonal variation, transformation. Grafting - general principles and techniques, cellular and physiological aspects. |
