Develops the ability to communicate effectively in a range of formal and informal settings. Emphasis will be put on developing awareness of language variations and regional differences in language use. The four skills of speaking, listening, reading and writing will be integrated in collaborative learning activities. Students will also be introduced to the writings of famous Chinese writers and philosophers and are encouraged to critically examine the significance of these writings in shaping Chinese civilisation. |
