The purpose of this unit is to illuminate the leadership and management role at the level of philosophical thinking. It aims to examine selected classical, modern and post-modern, philosophical perspectives and constantly apply them to leadership theories, concepts and activities. The appropriate role of the leader and manager in terms of paradigm, ethics, assumptions, perceptions, and actions as well as problems of alignment of philosophy with practice will be explored. Students will explore these related issues towards the formation of their own personal philosophy of leadership. |
