Chromosomal basis of heredity - mitosis and meiosis, recombination, sex chromosomes and chromosome abnormalities. Chemical nature of the gene, genetic code, mutation and polymorphism. Molecular basis of inherited genetic diseases and cancer. Recombinant DNA technology in disease diagnosis. |
