Introduction
This program focuses on the design and management of information technology and is designed for students with a desire to understand the basics of, or update their skills in information technology, The Graduate Certificate develops a student who, with learning of both a theoretical and practical nature, will be able to apply their knowledge and skills in the information technology environment.

Recognition of Prior Learning
No exemptions will be given, although units may be substituted at the school's discretion. Other units may be approved by the Manager Postgraduate Programs.

Duration and Availability
This fee paying course is six months full-time or equivalent part-time study.

Course Organisation
The core areas studied include managing information systems projects and risks, information technology management, information security management, problem solving and the human aspects or organisations.

Professional Recognition
With a prior computing related degree graduates may apply for membership of the Australian Computer Society.

Career Opportunities
Graduates generally find employment in teams involved in the design and development of Information Technology systems.
