Introduction
This course enables students to extend their knowledge of current academic research methodology as it is applied in the field of food science and technology and to demonstrate this, through the preparation of an honours dissertation.
Course Entry Requirements/Prerequisites
Refer to Admission into Honours Degree Program and Regulations for Honours Degrees in the General Information section of the Curtin Courses Handbook. Only students with outstanding performance in undergraduate study will be considered for the entry to the honours system. Students intending to apply for entry must have achieved a minimum course weighted average of at least 65 per cent, although some courses require at least 70 per cent. Candidates should inform the Course Coordinator of an intention to apply for entry to the honours program prior to or immediately after the conclusion of undergraduate study.

Duration and Availability
The course is one year full-time or equivalent part-time study.
