Introduction
Project management is a distinct professional discipline, having its own body of knowledge, skills, tools and techniques. It involves managing a project from inception to completion and the successful attainment of the project objectives. The course provides the opportunity to gain the understanding, knowledge and skills necessary for performing the role of project manager. It adopts a generic approach to project management and is applicable to any project in such industries as construction, engineering,education, health, commerce, information technology, research and development.

Course Entry Requirements/Prerequisites
Appropriate bachelors degree from a recognised tertiary institution and a minimum two years relevant work experience.

Recognition of Prior Learning
Applications for recognition of prior learning are assessed on an individual basis.

Duration and Availability
This fee paying course is three semesters full-time or equivalent part-time study.

Intermediate Awards
A student who has successfully completed all the requirements of the Graduate Certificate or Graduate Diploma in Project Management may apply for graduation in that award subject to approval of the Faculty Dean. For further definition refer to the Statement and Awards section under General Information.

Additional Course Expenses
Students may be expected to purchase a number of textbooks, readers and other vital study materials. In addition, students may also need to contribute some of the cost of consumables, which varies depending on the area of study.
