| Syllabus: | In this unit, students will learn how to promote and market their journalism and increase their public profile as a journalist. It will outline how to start working as freelance journalist, as well as advice on securing a job with a media organisation. Students will learn more about what media audiences are seeking from journalism, through audience analytics and research. They will be introduced to different business models of journalism from Australia and overseas and will learn how to produce a simple website to showcase their work. The use of social media to promote journalism and journalists will be a key focus of the unit. |
