| Syllabus: | This unit provides a comprehensive introduction to radiation oncology through the development of theoretical knowledge and practical skills in principles of radiation oncology relevant to the beginning practitioner, the equipment and technology associated with radiation therapy, and the concepts, skills and reflective thinking critical to the patient care role of the radiation therapist. This unit provides opportunities for students to consolidate their theoretical knowledge in practical laboratories and during authentic practice in the clinical radiation therapy setting. |
