Syllabus: This unit provides students with a holistic approach to caring and advocating for people/families with mental health conditions. Students will apply analytical problem solving to inform advanced decision making in evidence- based practice. As part of this clinical experience students will apply theory to practice in mental health contexts. In this unit students will undertake simulated learning and complete designated hours of supervised PPE in an interprofessional practice setting. Students are expected to take greater responsibility for patient care appropriate to their scope of practice.
