Syllabus:

Bioavailability of selected vitamins and minerals. Function, absorption, transport, retention and excretion of trace and ultratrace elements. Nutrient interactions. Role of trace and ultratrace elements in antioxidant protection. Vitamin and mineral supplementation - hazards and appropriate uses. Investigation into foods for which sensational claims are made.
