Syllabus:

This unit discusses population growth and regulation. Topics covered include - Study of life histories of exploited species, stock recruitment relationships, environmental influences on the recruitment within a fish stock, influence of population dynamics on genetic parameters, natural changes to populations, human interference in population change, impacts of competition (predatory - prey relationships) on community structure, sustainability of populations.
