Syllabus:

Methods of patient assessment and care as they relate specifically to the drug and non-drug management of minor ailments, including infestations; ear, nose and throat conditions; genitourinary tract infections; skin disorders; and haemorrhoids. A review of pain management, wound care, immunisation, adverse drug reactions and drug interactions; as well as the pathogenesis, clinical features, management and treatment outcomes of major respiratory, rheumatological, neurological, dermatological and ocular diseases and disorders, and diabetes mellitus.
