The role of law in health administration. Federalism and the constitutional framework. Legislation. The theory of precedent. Types of legal rules. Aspects of the law of torts, contracts, criminal law, administrative law. Nature of ethical issues and ethical reasoning. Ethical dilemmas related to health policy. Personal rights versus community protection. Death and dying. Human experimentation. Genetics. Informed consent.
