Syllabus: |
Selection, use, adjustment and assessment of survey control nets via the propagation of variances and least square adjustment. Earthworks, measurement and computation. Principles of offshore engineering positioning using intersection, resection and global positioning systems. Overview of mining and hydrographic surveying. Engineering applications of terrestrial and aerial photogrammetry. Interpretation from aerial photographs, the compilation of line maps and digital terrain models - analytical and digital photogrammetric stereodigitisers. Digital image analysis. 3D laser imaging. |
