Syllabus: |
Directed study and research. Satellite geodesy - reference frames, coordinate transformations and time. Satellite motion and ephemeris generation. Geodetic satellites, TRANSIT Doppler. GPS precise positioning - observation procedures, reductions to localdatum and mathematical models. Satellite laser ranging, very long baseline interferometry and satellite altimetry. Hands-on experience with GPS positioning. Case studies and applications. |
