The course provides basic training in literary studies. It is designed for those with a degree intending to acquire additional qualifications in order to move into a different field or increase professional knowledge and expertise.
An approved bachelor degree or higher, or equivalent in a disciplinary area different from those undertaken in the bachelor degree program.
Applications for recognition of prior learning are assessed on an individual basis.
This fee-paying course is one semester full-time or equivalent part-time study. Some areas, such as performance studies, may require substantial attendance on campus and evening classes cannot be guaranteed.
This course is equivalent to advanced study in one of the several major areas of study in the Department's Bachelor of Arts program. Students must consult the course coordinator regarding an individual program of study.
Students may be expected to purchase a number of textbooks, readers and other essential study materials.
