This course develops a more critical and problem solving approach to the professional practice of chemistry than is possible to achieve in a first qualification. Presently there is a definite need for professional chemists with such qualifications. The course forms a basis for the professional development of experts able to cope with sophisticated research and development problems in industry.
A bachelor degree in chemistry or an equivalent qualification from a recognised tertiary educational institution.
Applications for recognition of prior learning are assessed on an individual basis.
This fee paying course is one year full-time or equivalent part-time study. Two intakes are offered each year in March and August.
Students are expected to purchase a number of textbooks, readers and other essential study materials. Students will require a laboratory coat.
