| Syllabus: | Based in the on-country context, this unit is delivered using Aboriginal pedagogies, and encompasses a broader focus on Australia’s First Nations within a shared histories framework, identifying key factors relating to decolonisation and human rights of First Nations people within the Australian context. Students will critically investigate the significant histories and paradigms that underpin their profession (or discipline) and explore how this impacts on Australia’s First Nations. Additional learning activities to help students interpret and apply Aboriginal cultural protocols, terminology, and communication and apply culturally safe ways of working with Australia’s First Nations, will be undertaken On-Country. |
