| Syllabus: | The syllabus covers topics within the field of environmental engineering in the compartments of water, soil and air. The principles of water and wastewater quality and treatment and wastewater recycling are presented, covering both conventional and advanced water and wastewater treatment processes, as well as treatment for water recycling and water treatment plant design. Concepts in solid waste management and hazardous waste management will be discussed. Basics of air quality and pollution control, water quality guidelines and environmental impact assessment will also be delivered through lectures and tutorial sessions. Independent student research will be used to consolidate concepts in these topics. |
