Syllabus: | Designed for students who have passed TEE Physics or equivalent. Mechanics: motion in one dimension, vectors, projectile motion, forces, Newton's laws of motion, free-body diagrams, weight, friction, circular motion and gravitation, work and energy, linear momentum, rotational motion, bodies in equilibrium, elasticity and fracture. Electricity: electrostatic charge, conductors and insulators, Coulomb's law, electric fields and lines, electric potential, potential difference, bioelectricity, equipotentialsurfaces, electric current, electric circuit components, Ohm's Law, equivalent resistance, voltage divider, electric energy, Kirchoff, electrical safety, current types, resistivity and conductivity, magnetic fields, properties of flux lines, electric currents and magnetism, magnetic force, eddy currents, heating in therapy, alternators, transformers, capacitance, dielectrics, inductors and RLC circuits. |
