Syllabus: | A conceptual framework for toxicology and related impacts on human health from environmental and occupational exposures. It will develop knowledge and skills to identify environmental and occupational exposures of concern, reveal mechanisms by which toxicants initiate pathological dysfunction or disease, and identify interventions for the prevention of adverse health effects associated with environmental and occupational exposures. Topics include toxicological terminology, toxicokinetics, toxicodynamics, toxicological testing methods, environmental, occupational, biological monitoring, causes and prevention of adverse consequences to human health that may result from environmental and occupational exposures. |
