Prerequisite(s): 311435 (v.1) Laboratory Medicine Practice 334
Syllabus: Seven weeks of supervised professional practice in a "National Association of Testing Authorities" (NATA) accredited medical laboratory. Students will be placed in a major analytical area of the laboratory developing skills and competency in quality control and maintenance of laboratory equipment, data verification and validation, data interpretation and test reporting. Students will receive training in appraisal, evaluation, and interpretation of analytical data and patient clinical history required foraccurate diagnosis, aetiology, classification, and monitoring of pathological processes.
