Syllabus: | Communication in Business 201 introduces students to the principles of effective communication in the academic and professional business contexts. This unit was developed to align with three CBS education objectives for students: (1) to obtain a foundation of applied business knowledge; (2) to develop and enhance professional skills; and (3) to expand their capacity to operate in an international, multi-disciplinary environment. The unit has four parts commencing with the theoretical underpinnings of business communication and its application, essential academic communication skills, general communication issues and, finally, communication in the professional business context. |
