Syllabus:	An examination of curriculum planning in the society and environment learning area. Current developments in curricula including curriculum documents, progress maps and syllabuses. Exploration of the approaches to teaching, learning and assessment in society and environment and integration into other learning areas. Lesson planning and program development including assessment and evaluation. An exploration of the importance of values and civics as a critical part of the learning area.
