Syllabus:	Examines the notion of community based mental health practices. It provides an opportunity to examine assessment and intervention skills commonly used in the mental health field. The idea of mindfulness underlies the teaching and encourages awareness of self and of factors that enhance resilience in professionals working with mental health issues.
