Syllabus: Biotic and physical environment of Western Australia. Principles of land rehabilitation, rehabilitation of salinised land and coastal dunes, planning and implementation of revegetation programs, monitoring and management. Importance of animals in restoration, and reclamation of land to encourage invertebrates, mammals, birds, reptiles and frogs. Restoration of arid lands, fire and landcare, restoration of wetlands, and reclamation for amenity, fishing and nature trails. Self-operated excursion.
