This double degree combines studies in media and information with studies in languages and Asian culture and society. The combination of a media programme with a language broadens the scope of employment prospects to include multinational media organisations and companies located overseas. Graduates may find careers in areas such as public relations, advertising, media management, library and information services, web publishing and broadcasting in multinational companies, government departments and public institutions, especially in an international context.
None. Preference will be given to applicants with a TEE LOTE subject, and also applicants with other evidence of formal language studies.

Entrants to the double degree are expected to have attained a higher Tertiary Entrance Rank than is required for both single degrees.
Applications for recognition of prior learning are assessed on an individual basis.
4 years' full-time or equivalent part-time.
Students undertake a major in Chinese (Mandarin), Indonesian, Japanese, Korean, Asian Studies or TESOL in combination with a major in Film and Television, Internet Studies, Journalism, Librarianship and Corporate Information or Multimedia Design. Students enrolled in the double degree program may elect to transfer to a single degree course in one of the two areas. In this event, the relevant Head of Department shall determine the amount of credit to be transferred to the single degree.
Relevant professional recognition is granted on the same basis as to graduates of the single degrees.
Students may be expected to purchase a number of textbooks, readers and other essential study materials.
