Syllabus: Chemical Bonding (includes covalent bond hybridisation), organic reaction processes (types and mechanisms includes resonance/inductive effects). Functional group chemistry (from Aliphatic to Heteroaromatic compounds using drug/pharmaceutical examples). Overview of the chemical literature (key resources in organic, pharmaceutical and medicinal chemistry).Thermodynamics, kinetics and equilibrium processes.
