Syllabus: |
Government and politics of Japan. An examination of the basic rules and patterns of politics and policy making in post World War II Japan. Unit topic include state building, the United States occupation, political culture, political parties and representation, the Liberal Democratic Party, policy making and public policy, political economy and foreign policy, plus a major research paper. |
