Syllabus:

This unit focuses on the two areas of business strategy and financial management. Students will be introduced to the practice and theory of strategic management as well as contemporary strategic financial management techniques. There is also a strong focus on the study of management's use of internal accounting information in enabling the effective guidance and control of their organisations and improving decision-making in a changing business environment. The coursework is designed to give students theopportunity to develop awareness, thinking abilities and management skills in the area of strategy, as well as cover a disparate collection of techniques and practices in the area of financial management, with an emphasis on the behavioural aspects associated with such information.
