Receivers, land versus marine versus transition zone 3C4D. Linear array design, symmetric or asymmetric recording, dip recording and weighted arrays. Source, land versus marine, weighted arrays and convolution of weighted arrays. Far field testing, ghosting, optimising source. Instrumentation, sampling, aliasing, dynamic range, sign-bit recording, field computing, A to D converters and data formats. Coordinate systems and survey positioning. Establishing field parameters, field tests F-K plotting and two-dimensional layouts. Three-dimensional surveys, land, marine, transitional zones andmigration. Data acquisition: three-dimensional survey design and three-dimensional interpretation. |
