This double degree in Communication and Cultural Studies and Media and Information combines knowledge and related expertise with professional training in Media and Information.
TEE English or English Literature, minimum scaled mark of 60 desirable.
STAT elements considered are E and either V or Q.
Students will normally be expected to have attained a higher Tertiary Entrance Rank than is required for both single degrees.
Applications for recognition of prior learning are assessed on an individual basis.
The course is four years full-time or equivalent part-time study.
Students undertake one major in Creative Writing, Literary and Cultural Studies, Performance Studies and Professional Writing and Publishing in combination with one major in Film and Television, Internet Studies, Journalism, Librarianship and Corporate Information or Media Studies. Students enrolled in the double degree program may elect to transfer to a single degree course in one of the two areas. In this event, the relevant Head of Department shall determine the amount of credit to be transferred tothe single degree.
Students may be expected to purchase a number of textbooks, readers and other essential study materials.
