Syllabus: Theoretical knowledge and practical experience in clinical child psychology. This unit emphasises the aetiology, assessment, diagnosis, conceptualisation and treatment of clinical problems of children and adolescents. These problems will be considered within the relevant social context, such as the family, the school, and children's friendships. The most common child clinical problems as well as best practice guidelines and empirically validated intervention strategies are covered.
